CROSBY, TEXAS – A fire broke out earlier today at the KMCO chemical plant located at 6503 Ramsey Road in Crosby, Texas. According to Harris County Sheriff’s Office, it is believed that 1 person has been killed and at least 2 other people are injured, although it is unclear at this time how severe those injuries may be. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

According to ABC13 news correspondent “Crosby, Sheldon, Galena Park and Channelview ISD officials say all campuses are sheltering in place. Additionally, the Rhodes School Channelview campus is sheltering in place. During shelter-in-place procedures, no one is allowed inside or outside the buildings. ”  This also includes a 1 mile radius from the KMCO plant for residents.
