Chicago Schools and Threat of Asbestos Exposure
Chicago Public Schools records showed that in 2013, independent contractors discovered friable asbestos that was damaged or could be damaged in 184 public elementary, middle and high schools. The presence of this material poses a risk for Chicago public school students, faculty and staff. The inspectors recommended the removal of the asbestos to prevent possible exposure, but many schools allowed the asbestos materials to remain in place.
Chicago Mesothelioma and Asbestos Verdicts
